TRAI wants Pan-India MNP by April 2014

Nokia if had not been bought by Microsoft would have launched Android devices by 2014. Nokia, which has recently been acquired by Microsoft, was reportedly planning to join the Android bandwagon in case the deal hadn't gone through. Infact, as per reports, Nokia was even thinking to bring Android powered devices as soon as 2014. It is to be noted that similar reports were doing the rounds when Nokia opted for Windows Phone operating system last year. As per the recent report, "A team within Nokia had Android up and running on the company's Lumia handsets well before Microsoft and Nokia began negotiating”. While that was undergoing Microsoft was also aware of the work that was already under way for the Nokia Android device.
